New Music Mondays with Carrie Lane

Every Monday I get a "New Music Monday" alert in my news feed from the beautiful CARRIE LANE.

On Mondays at 5pm Carrie Lane Music releases a new YouTube video with a cover or original.  Her past videos included, Taylor Swift's Welcome to New York, Jesse McCartney's Beautiful Soul, Sam Smith's I'm Not The Only One and The Beatle's Let It Be  to name just a few.

Which is why I was totally excited when she asked me to be a part of her video of the week!
I had never been a part of a video shoot or on a filming set, so I was very excited but also very nervous.

Filming had already started when I arrived for my scene, so I felt really comfortable when I saw everybody having fun.

Carrie was very supportive and encouraging when each of us did out parts perfectly.  She made sure all us  felt comfortable on set.
It was nice while taping to see a very sentimental, emotional and sweet side of this talented artist for this video.  She was very passionate about the outcome and her vision of this video.

Check out some of these behind the scene photos from the shoot of the Carrie Lanes's video cover of Meghan Trainor's Lips are Movin'

Thank you Carrie Lane for inviting me and letting me a part of my first video shoot.

Keeping up with cool...at school

Joe Luca and Lenore Luca from
Keeping Up With Cool
came to my school last week and talked to my 8th grade class.
They shared stories of when they were young.

Lenore wanted to be an actress and went on audition after audition and couldn't get a part.  Her younger brother Joe went on one audition and got the part! It was funny when she told how mad it made her that he got a part before her.
But she didn't give up. She kept on auditioning until she got something.

Then Joe told the story of how he had always wanted to be a college gymnast and when he was in high school he hurt his leg.  He was told he shouldn't do gymnastics anymore. But he wouldn't take no for an answer. He worked hard at physical therapy and strengthened his leg and now is on the gymnastic team at Temple University.
He didn't give up. He proved it to us by doing an impressive back flip.

They interacted with some of my classmates and gave tips on how to build confidence, achieve happiness and be a leader.
They encouraged us live our dreams and be the best we can be.

Everyone said it was a lot of fun having Joe and Lenore at our school and that it was the best assembly we have ever had!

You can have Joe and Lenore come speak at your school, too!  Have your principal or guidance counselor contact Bridget@BridgetObrienPRandEvents.com or visit their website http://www.KeepingUpWithCool.tv/
